Founded in 2018, the pH Innovate Group is the parent company for Quote Detective, Next Venture Technologies, and QuoteTheMarket. It is a company that uses technology and industry expertise to support under-served customers. The brainchild of school friends and insurance experts David Harlow and Stephen Peck, it works with leading comparison sites and direct to consumer to provide competitive and accurate quotes for customers where they may previously have been unavailable.

Joining the pH Innovate Group in 2019, Quote Detective (QD) is directly regulated by the FCA and was the group’s first business to consumer brand. It was closely followed in 2019 by QuoteTheMarket, which specialises in the price comparison of niche motor products such as commercial vehicle, courier and taxi insurance.

In 2020, B2B SaaS company, Next Venture Technologies was founded. Utilising the technical expertise of pH Innovate co-founder Stephen Peck, it hosts and develops an insurance trading platform for insurers.

As of 2024, the pH Innovate Group continues to grow at pace, surpassing 100 members of staff within its Pontypool head office, writing just under £30m GWP directly, and 20 times that via its 50 customers and partners.
